The park lists blue palo verde (Parkinsonia florida) with ocotillo, ironwood, and teddy-bear cholla as Colorado Desert signatures — south and east, not the Joshua tree flats. Yellow palo verde (P. microphylla) is a different Sonoran tree; NPS’s Joshua Tree list is the blue one. Expect it in washes and low basins, not on a Yucca Valley lot unless someone planted it. Wikipedia and the park’s taxon page have the rest.
