A winter mustard that bolts early on lots and roadsides, the usual mix-up with Sahara mustard.

In the basin

Another weedy mustard, common after rain on disturbed ground. It is usually smaller and earlier than Sahara mustard, with thin pods and a less massive basal rosette. Learn the two together so a spring flush on a lot is not a mystery. Wikipedia and Cal-IPC have the comparison.
